Following the Cup Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR brought Kyle Busch’s No. 8 car back to its R&D Center for a more detailed review. The inspection came after a strong showing, prompting questions about whether the Richard Childress Racing driver might face any penalties.
The results were all clear—no infractions were found with the No. 8 Chevrolet. That outcome is especially significant given that past post-race inspections have sometimes led to major penalties, including triple-digit point losses.
As the series heads to Texas Motor Speedway, Busch sits 27th in the standings, 66 points below the playoff cut line with 16 races remaining in the regular season. He’ll aim to build on that momentum in Texas while Richard Childress Racing continues searching for more speed in 2026.
